TRICOR Systems Inc. has been in business since 1976 and designs/develops/manufactures their own products, as well as, provides contract engineering and contract manufacturing services. We are a broad based company with our customers and products ranging from commercial, medical, automotive, industrial, military and aerospace. TRICOR seeks an experienced electronics design engineer to join our team of experienced engineers that would enjoy the flexibility of a smaller organization and opportunities afforded by working for a company where involvement is virtually in all aspects of product design, development and manufacturing. Responsibilities include design to specification and hardware/software design, development, debugging, troubleshooting, production design of PC based and embedded systems. Some project engineer skills are a plus. The individual will be a self-starter that can work in a team environment, works effectively and communicates well with coworkers and customers.
Requirements:- BSEE or equivalent
- 6+ years of experience in detailed hardware and software design of microprocessor and embedded systems design. This includes analog interface and acquisition, A/D's, D/A's, as well as, digital design experience.
- Experience with design of Microchip and ARM 8-32 bit processor based systems.
- Strong programming background prefer C, and Visual Basic
- Proven ability to troubleshoot designs including existing products
- Experience with application and programming of programmable logic devices
- Experience with firmware development tools
- Knowledge and implementation of RS-232 and USB standard protocols and interfaces
- Ability to create product and other support documentation
- Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and multi-threaded applications
- Experience with UL and CE standards and requirements, a plus
- Experience with Wireless development such as Bluetooth and WiFi, a plus
- Experience with I2C, SPI and Ethernet bus design, a plus
- Experience in medical products design, a plus
